I love to paint in monochrome… but my real passion is colour. My understanding of colour and pigments evolves with my work. I like to find a balance between subtle tones or minimalist colour palettes by injecting unexpected little flashes of vibrant colour.
I love the traditional processes of analogue film processing and how negative and positive colours can be manipulated and can give unexpected results from mistakes and mis-matched processes. I mimic these effects with paint.
